On May 25, 2023, The U.S. Department of State delayed the effective date of consular fee increases for nonimmigrant visa applications and Border Crossing Cards for some Mexican nationals. The State Department states that the delay resulted from the final rule not being delivered to the U.S. Senate until April 17th, therefore bringing the mandatory 60 day review period to June 17th.
