Emre Esensoy is an Articling Student at Green and Spiegel LLP in Toronto. Emre assists clients, both individual and corporate, with all aspects of immigration law in Canada, including temporary and permanent residence applications, citizenship, litigation, admissibility and enforcement matters, sponsorship appeals, and alternative dispute resolution.
Emre recently graduated from Windsor Law. While in school, Emre served as the advocacy chair for the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers’ Windsor Law chapter. He also volunteered with Community Legal Aid, appearing before administrative tribunals and Provincial Court to represent low-income clients in small claims, landlord and tenant, criminal, and provincial offences matters.
Prior to law school, Emre worked with a boutique immigration and refugee law firm as a legal assistant, and as a community organizer for low- and moderate-income neighbourhoods in Toronto. Emre holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of British Columbia, and a master’s degree in Political Science from Simon Fraser University.
