On December 11, 2023, the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada announced that the International Experience Canada (IEC) program is now open to about 90,000 young people from over 35 countries around the world to come to experience Canada. The IEC is an amazing program that allows Canadian and international young people aged 18-35 to work and travel in each others’ countries.
There are 3 types of work and travel experiences for people wishing to come to Canada for up to 2 years:
- Working holiday
- Young professionals
- International Co-op (Internship)
If you are an individual who wants to take advantage of this program to live in Canada, the sooner you apply the better as some countries hit their quotas quickly.
