Alexander Toope is an Associate Lawyer at Green and Spiegel LLP in Toronto. Alexander assists both individual and corporate clients with all aspects of immigration and citizenship law in Canada. Alexander is particularly interested in the intersection of immigration law and public policy.

Alexander is a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. He was called to the Ontario Bar after articling at Green and Spiegel LLP. Alexander recently graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School. While in law school, Alexander volunteered as a division leader in the immigration division at Community & Legal Aid Services Programme (CLASP), where he served clients in a diverse range of immigration matters, including two recent Supreme Court of Canada cases. In addition to his work at CLASP, Alexander was a research assistant for the Director of the York University Centre for Refugee Studies and was also an editor and contributor to the Osgoode Hall Law School newspaper.

Prior to law school, Alexander doubled majored in Political Science and History (Bachelor of Arts) at McGill University in Montreal. While at McGill and in the summer months, Alexander conducted research in public policy, interned at a law firm specializing in civil litigation, and volunteered as an executive member of a performing arts organization.
