Today, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced the 11th Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw of 2021. Draw #191 issued 940 invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 711. The CRS score decreased by 2 points compared to the previous PNP draw held on May 26th, 2021.
The PNP is aligned with the federal Express Entry system. Candidates that receive a provincial nomination automatically obtain an additional 600 CRS points. The program is designed for workers who have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory. Each province and territory have their own “streams” which vary depending on the province’s needs.
Today’s draw is the largest PNP-specific draw since the program began. The total number of ITA now issued in 2021 increased to 75,713. Almost doubling the numbers issued compared to this time last year.
IRCC applied its tie-breaking rule with the timestamp of February 16, 2021, at 09:06:30 UTC. This means that Candidates who had the minimum score of 711 are only invited if they submitted their Express Entry profile before the tie-breaking rule.
