Today, the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced an Express Entry draw for candidates involved in the Provincial Nomination Program (PNP).
Today’s draw (175) issued 654 invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 720. The third Provincial Nominee Program draw of 2021 saw the CRS score decrease by 21 points compared to the previous PNP draw held on January 20, 2021.
Candidates with a Provincial Nomination receive an additional 600 CRS points which explains the spike in required points for this draw as only candidates with Nomination Certificates were selected.
IRCC applied its tie-breaking rule with the timestamp of August 14, 2020 at 06:51:00 UTC UTC. This means that if more than one eligible candidate had the minimum CRS score, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before this date and time received invitations.
