Today the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 3,900 applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 439 or higher to apply for permanent residence. Today’s draw marks the 107th round of invitations since Express Entry came into force and it’s the first time this year that the score has dropped below 440 points.
This low score is a result of the Government of Canada maintaining a large draw size combined with waiting only one week between draws when usually it's two weeks. The total number of invitations to apply for 2018 has now increased to 89,800 which is the most invitations to apply sent in a single year since the Express Entry system began.
