  3. Honoring HIAS Pennsylvania with the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s 2025 Immigration Law Pro Bono Award

On Thursday, December 18, Jonathan Grode had the honor of presenting the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s 2025 Immigration Law Pro Bono Award to HIAS Pennsylvania, an organization whose work embodies the very best of our profession.

HIAS Pennsylvania, led by Executive Director Cathryn Miller-Wilson, was recognized for its extraordinary commitment to providing critical legal services to immigrants most in need, often through pro bono and legal aid work during some of the most challenging times our immigration system has faced.

Green and Spiegel, U.S. is proud to sponsor this award and to stand alongside HIAS PA in advancing access to justice. During the award presentation, Jonathan was also pleased to announce an additional donation to HIAS PA in support of their vital mission.

As David Keller Trevaskis, Director of Pro Bono Services for the Pennsylvania Bar Association, noted: “No one is doing more than HIAS PA to help immigrants in need during these trying times.”

Pro bono service is not ancillary to our work, it is foundational. At Green and Spiegel, we believe meaningful advocacy requires both excellence in practice and a deep commitment to community, compassion, and service.

We congratulate HIAS Pennsylvania on this well-deserved recognition and thank them for their continued leadership in immigration advocacy!
