Today, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held its eighth consecutive Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw. The 25th PNP draw of 2021, issued 746 invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 720. The CRS score increased by 22 points compared to the previous PNP draw held on December 10th, 2021.

The PNP is aligned with the federal Express Entry system. Candidates that receive a provincial nomination automatically obtain an additional 600 CRS points. The program is designed for workers who have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory. Each province and territory have their own “streams” which vary depending on the province’s needs.

Today’s draw brought the total ITAs in 2021 to 114,431, passing last year’s record-breaking year of 107,350 candidates invited.

IRCC applied its tie-breaking rule with the timestamp of November 24, 2021 at 16:56:42 UTC. This means that candidates who had the minimum score of 720 are only invited if they submitted their Express Entry profile before the tie-breaking rule.
