Our History

bell_bannerGreen and Spiegel was founded over forty years ago by Mendel Green, who was one of the first lawyers in Canada to specialize in immigration law and has played a central role in the evolution of the Canadian immigration system. Today Green and Spiegel is not only the oldest immigration firm in Canada, it is also one of the largest and most successful.

Since 1992, Green and Spiegel has offered its clients U.S. immigration law services. Under the direction of Evan Green (Senior Partner), this area of the Firm’s practice has focused on difficult cross-border issues as well as challenging aspects of consular processing in addition to the processing of non-immigrant and immigrant visas. Early in 2012, Green and Spiegel recognized that its model for providing excellent immigration legal services would resonate well in the United States through an expanded presence in the Northeastern states. In August 2012, Green and Spiegel U.S. was launched.

While Green and Spiegel U.S. represents clients throughout the United States, our practice is currently concentrated on the East Coast. Our offices in Philadelphia, PA and Providence, RI are strategically situated to provide in-person corporate immigration assistance from Washington, D.C. to Boston, MA. By focusing on comprehensive immigration solutions instead of mere visa processing, we provide detailed assistance to the largest corporations as well as to individuals on the most complex immigration matters.

“Our Mission: Integrity and Service. Upholding the integrity of the United States legal system, while providing the best service to our clients.”

Culture

Green and Spiegel U.S. believes in the United States’ immigration system. Although laden with cumbersome processes, the general principles of attracting the best and the brightest people to the United States, as well as promoting family unity, are of great importance to our team.

We take pride in helping our clients, whether corporate or individual, in making this nationwide goal a reality. After we make an initial evaluation of your long-term needs and circumstances, we recommend the most suitable visa category and provide guidance and application/petition services for every step of the process. We work hard to break throughthe bureaucracy and translate the immigration process into easily understood language. Most importantly, we understand what going through this process means to you, your company and your future. When we assist you in achieving the objective of immigrating to the United States, whether temporarily or permanently, we all succeed.

One of our core principles is responsiveness. All communications are generally addressed within 24 hours, if not immediately. As part of our service we will always set out clear timelines, so that you will know how and when your immigration needs will be met.

We are a continent of immigrants and our diversity is our greatest attribute.
