Shoshana T. Green | Partner
Shoshana T. Green is a partner at Green and Spiegel LLP in Toronto. She received her B.A. from York University followed by her LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario. After articling at Green and Spiegel LLP, she was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996. Since her call to the Bar, she has been practicing exclusively in the field of immigration, citizenship and refugee law, handling all types of matters including assisting employers and individuals with hiring foreign workers as well as applying for and maintaining permanent residence. She also assists individuals and families with all types of sponsorship applications to help bring close relatives to Canada.
Shoshana regularly appears before the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court of Canada representing clients in sponsorship appeals, removal appeals and applications for judicial review as well as other types of enforcement matters.
Shoshana also assists families with the international adoption process both through citizenship and immigration applications.
Shoshana is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Citizenship and Immigration Law. She is listed in the Who’s Who Legal of Corporate Immigration Lawyers which is considered to be The Official Research Partner of the International Bar Association, as well as in The Best Lawyers in Canada editions for the specialty of Immigration Law.
Professional Activities & Affiliations
Shoshana has been an active member of the Citizenship and Immigration Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association since 1994, both provincially and nationally. Currently she is an executive member of the Ontario Bar Association Citizenship and Immigration Section. She is also a member of the America Immigration Lawyers Association – Canada Chapter and the Metro Toronto Lawyers Association.
Shoshana has spoken at numerous conferences including those presented by the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada. She served as co-chair of the Ontario Bar Association 2008 and 2009 Institute of Continuing Legal Education Immigration Conferences. From 2002 to 2003 she was co-editor of the Immigration & Citizenship Bulletin of Canada Law Book.
