October 2, 2015 – Citizenship and Immigration Canada has issued another round of invitations through Express Entry. A total of 1,530 Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence were issued on October 2, 2015, with a lowest qualifying score of 450 points.

This round’s qualifying score is the same as the score from the previous round on September 18th, which was the lowest qualifying score to date. This round is the ninth consecutive draw for which qualifying scores have been below the 600 point benchmark.

Candidates in Express Entry are assigned a score using the Comprehensive Ranking System. Up to 600 points are assigned based on skill factors, including language, employment history, and education. An additional 600 points are awarded to candidates who hold a valid job offer supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). This round of invitations included both candidates with, and without, an LMIA.

Since the program?s inception a total of 23,542 invitations have been issued.
