Mendel Green, Q.C., is the founding partner of Green and Spiegel LLP in Toronto. He received his B.A. from the University of Western Ontarioand his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. Mr. Green is a member of the Ontario Bar and is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Citizenship and Immigration Law. In 1974, Mr. Green was appointed Queen’s Counsel. The Canadian LEXPERT Legal Directory has pointed out that Mendel Green is considered “the dean of immigration by Canada’s Immigration Bar” and referred to him as a ”leading Toronto immigration practitioner, most frequently recommended.” Mr. Green has been named as a leading Canadian Corporate Immigration Attorney in the Who’s Who Legal of Corporate Immigration, as well as selected by The Best Lawyers in Canada editions for the specialty of Immigration Law as well as Best Immigration Lawyer (Toronto) for 2014.
Professional Activities & Affiliations
Mr. Green was Adjunct Professor at the University of Western Ontario Law School and at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University where he taught immigration law. He is a founding Chairman of both the National Citizenship and Immigration Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association and the Citizenship and Immigration Law Specialty Committee of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
