Green and Spiegel LLP was founded by Mendel Green who was called to the Ontario Bar in 1962. Mendel was one of the first lawyers in Canada to specialize in immigration law and has played a central role in the evolution of the Canadian immigration system. Mendel has been the legal representative in many landmark cases, including the Supreme Court of Canada’s decision in Singh v. The Minister of Employment and Immigration, which is arguably the most important legal decision in Canadian immigration history and continues to be referenced in many legal decisions and papers to the present day.
